Portugal Schengen Work visa depends on the qualification, the position the applicant has applied for, and the additional skills they have to meet the job eligibility criteria. Indian Nationals can apply for the different types of Portugal Visa From India:

Skill Visa For Indians:

A skilled work visa is a common and most applied visa type by Indians. Highly qualified and competent candidates like Engineers, Doctors, Scientists, Pharmaceutics, Mathematicians, and renowned Artists are eligible for it. It is a long-term Schengen Visa granted for one year but the applicants can extend the visa for more years, mainly up to 5 years. During this, the visitors get a blue card or temporary residence permit to stay legally in Portugal. Moreover, the candidates after pursuing their work for 5 years can apply for permanent residence in Portugal. So that, after getting PR they can stay there for no duration restrictions and finally get a complete Portugal Nationality.

Seasonal Visa For Indians:

For seasonal work, people from Portugal hire for labor or small jobs. Indians with experience in labor work like mechanics, plumbers, harvesters, carpenters, etc can apply for this visa. It is a short-term or Type-C visa category and a good chance for people to earn handsome money. Every year, in different seasons, there are hiring positions, therefore interested ones must visit the nearby embassy and apply for a suitable job.

Qualified Visa For Indians:

The qualified visa is for those individuals who have very high degrees or ranks in their previous professions. Usually, scientists, specialists, or business persons wish to join the experiment sectors and agencies for more development in their work. So that this category is specially issued for a year duration that is extendable with work by the applicant.

Independent Visa For Indians:

An Independent visa or self-employed visa is the proficient Portuguese work visa category – serving as a good option for Indian citizens. It is especially for those people who are freelancers, who have a self-owned business, or who are going to start up a work independently. The Digital Nomad visa allows the applicants to stay in Portugal for one year with a temporary residence. But if the worker wants to extend it and after showing the work documents, he/she can go for permanent residence with a legal stay there.

Technical Visa For Indians:

Indian nationals who have good experience working in professional technology, innovative, and technical departments/industries/companies. This visa category is for Job holders who get recruited by the companies in Portugal. The hiring company must be IAPMEI certified and registered to offer a visa for competent workers. Furthermore, it is valid for 2 years (a long-term Schengen visa). Candidates can extend it for up to 3 years and get a PR permit for legal stay.

Job Seeking Visa For Indians:

A different and beneficial visa category for those who are seeking a job internationally. In this type, Indians search for a job or move to Portugal to find a job. Portugal allows Indians to have a 3-month short visa that is extendable for more than 60 days, and look for a good job there. If the candidate finds out or gets hired for a job before visa expiration, then the applicant will apply for a legal residence permit. But if, for some reason, he/she is not able to get a job then the person has to leave the country before the visa expires.

Festival Visa For Indians:

People who work for festival organizations get a cultural visa for their relevance there. However, it is not a direct visa as the person has to submit an invitation letter from a Portuguese company and the Portuguese Cultural Authority. People get a short-term visa of 3 months or for the festival duration after that he/she has to move back to India.

Teaching Visa For Indians:

A teaching visa is for those who have years of experience in the teaching field, working for research in different sectors, and leading to an improved educational system. Such people get a one-year visa initially and an EU Blue card to stay in Portugal. It is usually a long-term visa. If the employee has a duration agreement or contract, the visa will be characterized accordingly.
